As we approach the end of 2019 (and the end of the decade!) the team and myself have been reflecting on the year we’ve had. And what a year it’s been!

We started 2019 in our humble “upstairs salon” with 4 of us working hard to endeavor our clients always had the best possible experience whilst visiting us. In Spring we got the fantastic news that we were finalists in the Muddy Stilettos Norfolk 2019 Best Hair Salon category. At that point, having only been open for around 18 months with a small team and trying to build a reputation from scratch, this was an amazing achievement for us. We couldn’t believe we had made it into the Best Hair Salon finals alongside superb, very well established salons. And next year, with our expansion now open, we are able to enter in to the Best Beauty Salon category too!

As we approached the end of Summer we took on one of our biggest tasks yet – keeping a salon running full time whilst more than doubling in size! With extra space available within the building and our client base and team ever growing, it made sense to embrace the opportunities coming our way and create a Hair & Beauty Salon unlike anything else in our area. We grew from a 5 chair hair salon with a beauty bed tucked away to a mammoth 8 chair hair salon with 2 large purpose built beauty treatment rooms, a state of the art tanning bed room, 2 large gorgeous waiting areas, a make up station, 2 manicure stations, 2 massage pedicure stations, a shower room and more.

It’s safe to say it was an incredibly busy few months for us getting our creation completed whilst trying not to disrupt our usual salon schedule, but with patient clients and a fantastic team, we did it! We completed the works in time to celebrate our 2nd birthday. On the 16th November, to celebrate the launch of our expansion and our 2nd birthday, we offered complimentary treatments all day whilst raising money for Alzheimer’s Society charity. It was a huge success and we got to spend the day showing off our new spaces and treatments to lots of lovely clients, familiar and new.

Thank goodness the expansion was completed in November, ready for us to roll into our busiest Christmas yet! With a team of 11 (yes, there’s now 11 of us!) we ensured all of our clients were seen to before the festivities commenced. We powered through with lots of late nights, mince pies and Christmas spirit – it was tons of fun helping everyone feel truly pampered and looking their best.

Now as we finish the last clients of 2019, we just wanted to take a moment to thank all of our clients from this year for your support, loyalty and enabling us all to have jobs that we love. Have a superb evening of celebrations and we look forward to seeing you all in the New Year!
